Bamya (Okra)

½ a small onion 

Melted/softened margarine 

A little bit of lemon juice

Sugar

Salt to taste

Tomato sauce

Cup of water 

Okra 

Chop the onion and fry with the margarine. Add lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Add tomato sauce, okra, and water. Let cook till the okra softens. You can add meat.

If you add meat: fry onion with margarine and add the meat till it cooks in the water, and then after that, add the rest of the ingredients (like the okra).
